After 8 successful seasons as a professional basketball player in Europe, I began to have back problems, along with a few other nagging sport injuries. After an injury filled season, I worked with Don for 2 months in my offseason to strengthen my back and to gain overall strength. After those 2 months, My back problems were gone, I gained 20lbs of muscle and was as fit as I been since college. I’ve been racing since 2002 and have competed in nearly 100 races of all distances, including 5 marathons, 2 Ironman triathlons and 5 half Ironman triathlons. In every year leading up to my first Ironman in 2007, I ended up with some type of nagging injury and thought that maybe my body just wasn’t cut out to push that hard and far. PPW have helped me realize I was wrong by pushing me to focus on a more complete and efficient training regimen. I’ve learned the fundamentals of core stability, agility, coordination and balance and that has helped me spend the past few years injury free, which allowed me to train harder and take over 1hr off of my previous Ironman finish time!
